Silk painting update

My poor silk painting hasn't had much of a look-in over the last couple of weeks as I've been so excited about my new kiln! I had started to make a silk painted tea cosy for the National Needlework Archive Tea Cosy Competition - closing date is end of the week so I'd better get on with it!
There have been changes at the Guild of Silk Painters - we have a new Journal Editor, who is also a new member of our branch, so that is going to be fun. Surrey Branch has now been running for 5 years, which is wonderful. I had no idea when I originally set it up that it would still be going now.

I have had some lovely comments about my "illuminated letters" cards, and have sold the last of my "ties with boats on".
