Scarves and ties
Aug. 22nd, 2009 11:05 amI've been having fun again ...
I got inspired by a DVD on Shibori I got at the silk guild festival, and tried out some techniques on a couple of scarves - they came out surprisingly clear:

And I had a bit of an experimental session with ties:
(1) Pink/Purple/Blue, (2) Black/Purple, (3) Purple

I'm quite pleased with these.

Overpainted scarves
Aug. 13th, 2009 10:33 pmMy new sock driers arrived - they're blue not pink, but I guess I can live with that.
So I got all excited and did a load of painting!

Had a lot of fun doing these. The great thing about the sock driers is that I can now hang my scarves up rather than folding them, which means they'll crease a lot less. Hurrah! AND keep the dust off by putting a dry cleaning bag over the top.
