Talk, demonstration and workshop!
Feb. 27th, 2011 07:23 pmI'm really excited - I have been booked by TACKS (http://www.tacks.org.uk) to go and do a talk, demonstration and workshop on silk painting! This will be happening in April 2012.

I will be doing a one hour talk and demonstration of silk painting, followed by a brief lunch break. In the afternoon there will be three one hour taster workshops for about 12 people each, in which they will be making silk painted cards and painting background pieces which they can embellish later with embroidery or bead work.
It will be fantastic fun! If you're in Kent and haven't joined TACKS, you may wish to consider it as they have some beautiful workshops coming up. One I would highly recommend is a talk from Kim Thittichai on "Burning Issues". I have a signed copy of her "hot textiles" book and it's really interesting - all about experimental textiles.
I will also be bringing my new range of silk painting kits, which you will be able to buy on the day.
If you can't wait until then to try silk painting, why not visit my website and book yourself a place on one of my wonderful courses.
